Whilst in Australia on our holidays, I managed to swing by Sportsgirl (their magic bronzer moisturiser I do sorely miss)! And whilst (new favourite word - whilst) there, managed to stumble upon a sale! HUZZAH! Lucky for me, I got my mitts on a copy of Beci Orpin's book, Find & Keep. It was actually intended for a gift, but ended up being a gift for moi. I do highly recommend it, it's colourful, cheery, inspiring and best of all, looks lovely on my side board. I don't really have a side board, but I have no idea what to call the furniture that's sort of in the middle of my living room, behind the couch. Anyone?
If you're already a Beci (first name - pretending we're pals) fan, high five! If not, below, you will find her wall hanging for Urban Outfitters, and a delightful picture from the book of giant spots being stuck to the wall. GENIUS!
Today, I challenge thee! Not to a duel - although t'would be a medieval delight (?). But to add more colour to your wee hoose, wherever that may be! Consider this my coloured gauntlet glove - THROWN DOWN!
Hello there my sweets! Exciting times here at rubyandjoy HQ, with new products being created for our first market stall! Come along and say hello at the Byres Rd Makers Markets in Glasgow! We'll be there on the 29th June (that's 18 days from now, but who's counting), and we'll be stocked to the brim with gorgeous products! Check out the market here and make sure you pop it in your diary! I shall accept snacks and hot drinks on the day. And don't forget to have a look at our etsy store, he's been a wee bit neglected as all our products are being packed up in preparation for the market, but there's a few new lovelies in there! Our sweet eyemasks now come packaged in a lovely wee fabric bag - perfect for a gift! And our delicious lavender and flaxseed eye pillows come packaged up in a gorgeous brown box with tag. Keep your eyes peeled for pictures, and I hope you have a splendid day wherever you are!
Hello there! What's that you ask? Is it that time of year again? When the woods turn blue and the flowers come out to play? Oh YES, helpful reader, it most certainly is! And so, because it is obviously necessary...three cheers for the bluebell woods!! Am I excited? Yes indeedy. Unfortunately, through an error of epic proportions (EPIC), we turned up at the woods without my camera. A particularly horrified gasp is suitable right now. Luckily for me, I had two of my dear friends staying with us, visiting from Australia! And as as any good tourist should be, they were with camera! Not to be confused with 'with child'. When any of our dear friends visit, my first thought when planning dates is always, 'will the bluebells be out?' And I tell you with much excitement, this time, they were! Gorgeous bluebells as far as the eye can see...up hills, down hills, to the left and to the right...the beautiful sweet scent wafting through the air. The photos will never do it justice, but here's a few to cheer your heart. And I'd also like to give a shout out to the sun who decided to make our days together warm and extra delightful! If you'd like to stick around, I'd be most grateful... x
